I was asked to write something about myself, my personality, for a website interviewing me about my blog.

 

 

I sat here in between meetings today, staring at a blank screen.

 

 

This website had sent along a little email with suggestions of what to put in the “bio”- such as “something not a lot of people know about me”…or “describe your self in two words or less”…

 

 

Hmmm…

 

 

I decided to go with the two words or less.

 

 

 

If I, Amy, were to describe myself in two words or less it would be –

 

 

“Beautiful Mess”.

 

 

 

That is me.

 

 

 

I am complex.

 

Yes… a beautiful mess.

 

 

 

 

 

Beautiful,  because I have finally come to accept I ain’t easyJ

 

 

 

 

 

 A mess,  because I cannot be boxed or put into safe little compartments.

 

 

 Always in the deep.

 

 

 

If I were a painting? I would be something by Salvador Dali.

 

 

If I were a song? I would haunt in minor chords.

 

 

If I were a wine? I would be a Pinot- painstakingly growing against the odds.

 

 

If I were a love? I would be Johnny and June Cash kinda love…fierce and passionate- loyalty and support.

 

 

If I were a dog? I would be a pit bull,  because in my weakness I have no idea when to let go.

 

 

If I were a flower I would be a rose- soft as the petals and scent , adorned in thorns for protection.

 

 

If I were a tree I would be a weeping willow…reaching to touch the ground instead of the sky…

 

 

And believe it or not, if I were a bird I would be a vulture. Only to possess their  ability to find the air currents and glide…without effort or force. They know how to rise above and ride the flow of life.
