Yes... the cookie cutter syndrome- having to do with reality tv and "the hills" and all the junk that people are feeding themselves with instead of taking the chance to be the individual beautiful masterpieces they are... society doesn't want us to be unique...and everyday it gets choked out more and more through tv, movies, internet- even the way we communicate now...text messages and IM and emails instead of touch, and voice and taking the time to connect on a real level...

But that is just my 2 cents:)lol

It's easy to get lost in the superficialities.
But then what?
Yes, I want to know there is substance.
And I don't want that substance to be kitty litter! LOL

Amy, oh yes you certainly nailed it! It's so true about the kitty litter and the missing element in young women today. While working as a college professor I saw it everyday...I referred to is as the cookie-cutter syndrome. Oh how I would have loved to have been there to see the young man's reaction to your "presence". But I have to say there is an "element" also missing from most young men-not sure what to call it, but it is very similar to this cookie-cutter/kitty litter element. How did this happen? I could point a finger at many reasons...sadly. But I prefer to think on more lovely thing...Cheers Amy!

You are too funny...I remember being that 'boy' in my early 20's and that happening to me. I remember back then I thought I knew it all...only to find out, I knew nothing. She was a brunette in a black dress, who was across the living room standing behind a party foldaway chair, like she was waiting for someone to come back and sit down. It was my friends birthday party and all of his family was there (she was a cousin I had not met). I was trying to talk to this other girl who my friend had invited, for me to meet. I couldn't believe what I was doing...I caught myself inching my head behind the girl, to hide away from the stares of those big brown, borderline hazel, eyes.

I remember it seemed like forever to get behind her only to have the girl, I was talking to, excuse herself, to the kitchen. I then realized that I was sweating and red, so, I walked directly over to the brunette in the black dress and asked her, like a child with no hesitation, "Why are you staring at me?" She laughed(I won't bore you with the rest of the details)... I will say this...to this day I have not forgotten the brunette in the black dress.

We make impressions in peoples lives. To launch them or to merely clear their mind of all the clutter that doesn't belong. Thank you for being you... and for the memory of change.

Very true, missing in a lot of women....Nothing more attractive than a woman that makes us think, and bring us back to the days of middle school dances, when you ALL were a mystery :-)
